Well this is an extra special post! I got to photograph my baby sister's senior portraits. Um, how am I even saying that right now? I can't believe my baby sister is a senior in high school and has already started taking college classes. Wild. But what a champ! Gracie has been working super hard this year to get a head-start on her freshman year of college, and I think that's totally the way to go! She's absolutely crushing it.
Right now, Gracie is looking into several courses of study, but she has one thing narrowed down--she definitely wants to work with kids! I think that's so perfect for her! Gracie is always surrounded by kids, and she makes little friends wherever she goes so I'm excited to see how her gifting will show up in her future.
I've been photographing Gracie since I first got my camera so we wanted to make her senior session extra special. My sister Rachel is really good at putting together outfits so a few days before Gracie's senior session, we made a fun shopping trip to Target to find Gracie something she would feel a little more grown up in. I'd say it was a successful trip. On the day of Gracie's session, she let me do her makeup, and wow, she looked absolutely stunning!! Too grown up.
We decided to head down to Redlands to shoot at a location Gracie had never been photographed in before, and it was the best decision. Let me tell you, the lighting at Prospect Park is always flawless! I'm dying to shoot another senior session there! Towards the middle of our session, we stumbled upon treasure--a gorgeous bush full of blooming orange flowers. It added the perfect pop of color to Gracie's pictures. We were obsessed.
Photographing Gracie's senior session was so special for me. Gracie, you are so sweet, hardworking, kind, beautiful, and funny. I'm so lucky to have a sister like you!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Gracie's senior session.
